Daily Readings and Inspirations

Daily Reflections:  GUIDANCE

  1. . . . this means a belief in a Creator who is all power, justice, and love; a God who intends for me a purpose, a meaning, and a destiny to grow, however . . . haltingly, toward His own likeness and image. AS BILL SEES IT, p. 51

  2. As I began to understand my own powerlessness and my dependence on God, as I understand Him, I began to see that there was a life which, if I could have it, I would have chosen for myself from the beginning.

  3. For we would if we could be: simply happy, yet; in and of itself, we have a progressive disease, that in and of itself, is no fault of our own (even as such being, we are to be part of a active part of our recovery: as we only recover if we hold true to being actively participation of recovering (as such, carrying the message to those that still suffer) in the middle of service ( as if it's being next to the edge:  that you will have a higher chance of falling off: be it back in our old ways or) /middle of the heard: as those at the edge will get picked off first.

  4.  It is through the continuing work of the Steps and the life in the Fellowship that I've learned to see that there is truly a better way into which I am being guided. As I come to know more about God, I am able to trust His ways and His plans for the development of His character in me. Quickly or not so quickly, I grow toward His own image and likeness.

  5. That recovery is possible only if you keep going to: meetings, working the steps, seeing how Bill thought doing more research was a good idea (getting milk and mixing it into a drink, making it a drank); yet, seeing that it's about progress can come Quickly or not so quickly: yet it's about making progress.

NA Just For Today: God's will, or mine? Page 54

  1. "We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it." Step Ten

  2. In Narcotics Anonymous, we've found that the more we live in harmony with our Higher Power's will for us, the greater the harmony in our lives. We use the Tenth Step to help us maintain that harmony. On a daily basis, we take time to look at our behavior. Some of us measure each action with a very simple question: "God's will, or mine?"

  3. In many cases, we find that our actions have been in tune with our Higher Power's will for us, and we in turn have been in tune with the world around us. In some cases, however, we will discover inconsistencies between our behavior and our values. We've been acting on our own will, not God's, and the result has been dissonance in our lives.

  4. When we discover such inconsistencies, we admit we've been wrong and take corrective action. With greater awareness of what we believe God's will for us to be in such situations, we are less likely to repeat those actions. And we are more likely to live in greater concord with our Higher Power's will for us and with the world around us.

  5. Just for Today: I wish to live in harmony with my world. Today, I will examine my actions, asking, "God's will, or mine?"

Got from Both:

  1. As both leads us to find a way to be guided within the God of our own understanding, to see the spiritual Principles: sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly (for I feel that it is as such, one in the same: simply program: to say, it's about making spiritual progress not perfection); so at what length will you see that you can and are willing to, being selfish.
