Pancake Marathon:

  • With me being able to find a piece of mind, cuz ultimately I know that's what we're really doing here in recovery:  for we have always tried to find an easier softer way yet overall it comes down to:  admitting that we are powerless over such things because we don't know how to live and that is the point of why it's a manageable:  essentially losing our sensibility of Sanity to the seeming moment of insanity:  losing touch with reality coming closer and closer to being a glorophobia to a Hermit in never being able to add value and only able to devalue things;  as so I know that today I have made it this far and I'm going to keep going because I made this far and I don't want to leave even though I have seen the miracle happen many many times I want to keep  being able to see the miracle happen again and again:  or maybe that's what sanity is as to say simply what is serenity a piece of mind:  being able to add value:  maybe more simply said hurt people hurt people yet on her people on her people so that's why I want to be today someone that's unheard so I can unhurt people.

acronyms and SLOGANS: Organized by Pancake Marathon

  • Don't Use No Matter What for that is like being so willing to stay within our sticking thinking Don't shut the door in the past so you will be able to keep the door to the Future open for that is like us pushing to the point of thinking that somehow we don’t have to have hope and love; as if we want to detach from the time that we have to get to the point of god: as if god was us seeing us only at the moment of us being fine, so willing to just be fine to never fail…..as now I can Cultivate an attitude of gratitude as its about finding the points of wisdom to be able to see that Change is a process, not an event.

NA Just For Today:   Keep Coming Back

  1. "We have come to enjoy living clean and want more of the good things that the NA fellowship holds for  us" Basic Text p. 26

  2. Can you remember a time when you looked at the addicts recovering in NA and wondered, "If they aren't  using drugs what on earth do they have to laugh about?" Did you believe that the fun stopped when the  using stopped? So many of us did. We were certain that we were leaving the good life behind. Today  many of us can laugh at that misconception because we know how full our life in recovery can be.

  3. Many of the things we enjoy so much in recovery are gained by actively participating in the fellowship of  NA. We begin to find true companionship, friends who understand and care about us just for ourselves.  We find a place where we can be useful to others. There are recovery meetings, service activities, and  fellowship gatherings to fill out time and occupy our interests. The fellowship can be a mirror to reflect  back to us a more accurate image of who we are. We find teachers, helpers, friends, love, care, and  support. The fellowship always has more to offer us, as long as we keep coming back.

  4. Just for today: I know where the good life is. I'll keep coming back. pg. 109

Daily Reflections: THE BONDAGE OF RESENTMENTS

  1. . . . harboring resentment is infinitely grave. For then we shut ourselves off from the sunlight of the spirit. AS BILL SEES IT, p. 5

  2. It has been said, "Anger is a luxury I cannot afford."

  3. Does this suggest I ignore this human emotion? I believe not. Before I learned of the A.A. program, I was  a slave to the behavior patterns of alcoholism. I was chained to negativity, with no hope of cutting loose.

  4. The Steps offered me an alternative. Step Four was the beginning of the end of my bondage. The process  of

  5. "letting go" started with an inventory. I needed not be frightened, for the previous Steps assured me I was  not alone. My Higher Power led me to this door and gave me the gift of choice. Today I can choose to  open the door to freedom and rejoice in the sunlight of the Steps, as they cleanse the spirit within me.
